Groundbreaking Ceremony Celebrates the commencement of Construction for Tempo by Hilton Nashville Downtown

NEW ORLEANS, LA. (April 1, 2022): HRI Hospitality (HRI) hosted a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday, March 30th, to officially kick-off construction of the Tempo by Hilton Nashville Downtown, a 16-story lifestyle hotel that will be located adjacent to the evolving Nashville Yards development.

Michael Coolidge, HRI’s Chief Investment & Development Officer, was joined by Timothy Kimbrough, Dean of Christ Church Cathedral; Bob Worthington, Senior Partner of META Real Estate Partners; and Kevin Morgan, Global Brand Head of Tempo by Hilton. Also in attendance were Courtney Pogue, Mayor Cooper’s Economic and Community Development Director, and other project partners to formally break ground at the hotel’s site on the corner of Rosa L. Parks Blvd. and Commerce Street.

Set to debut in spring 2024, Tempo by Hilton Nashville Downtown will feature 306 stylish and contemporary guestrooms, 12,000-square-feet of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting spaces, a 2,000-square-foot state-of-the-art fitness center, a vast outdoor pool and bar, an event lawn, and a fifth-floor sky lobby with expansive views of downtown Nashville.  The property will also offer a variety of food and beverage experiences, including Bluestone Lane café, the first in the Nashville market, a fifth-floor lobby bar and lounge with shareable New American dishes and an outdoor pool bar offering a Mediterranean-inspired menu and specialty cocktails.

This will be HRI’s second hotel development in Nashville, following its successful 2018 redevelopment of the James Robertson Building into the Holston House hotel, and 30th in the U.S. The Tempo by Hilton Nashville Downtown will be perfectly positioned to capitalize on its location next to Nashville Yards and Amazon’s Operations Center, as well as its proximity to the leisure, business, and group demand drivers in the Nashville market.
